Learn all about the TrackMan Combine at GolfCave

The TrackMan Combine is a standardized test that enables you to identify the strengths and weaknesses in your golf game. The test contains 60 shots at 10 different targets, and the distance changes every 3 shots. An important thing to note is that the test bases your results off of carry, not total. At the end of the test, you will get a score from 0/100. Each score has an associated handicap, and you’ll get that for every distance. (So you can be an 18 handicap from 60-80 yards, but a 15 handicap at 140 yards).

GolfCave members love the Combine because it helps them get a feel for what clubs to use for carry distance, and also clearly shows what distances they need to work on during their practice sessions. Once you have a clear understanding of how accurate you are with each club in your bag, you’re able to fine tune your game faster. We recommend taking the Combine once a month or once every other month to track your progress. It takes about 45 minutes to complete, and you’ll get a report sent to you with the results afterwards.

Book a tee time and follow these steps to take the test. On the home screen go to “Practice” → “Range” → TrackMan Combine. The first screen will give you an overview of the test, and allows you to take a few practice swings before starting. Once you are warmed up and ready to go, all you have to do is press “Start".
