The 8 TrackMan Stats You Should Know

TrackMan has 25+ statistics to choose from. If that seems a little overwhelming, we get it! We’ve narrowed it down to 8 TrackMan stats to understand, and use to improve your golf game.  “Stats Made Simple” was created to help simplify the data, and provide the most foundational stats for game improvement.

The stats include; total, carry, side total, club speed, smash factor, attack angle, club path, and face angle. Continue reading for a breakdown of what each data point represents. Total equals carry plus bounce and roll. Carry is the distance the ball travels through the air. An important thing to know about carry is that the value is given for a landing area that is the same height as where the ball is hit from. Side total is the distance from the target line based on where the ball comes to rest. Club Speed is the speed the club head is traveling immediately prior to impact. Club Speed determines a golfer’s potential distance. Smash Factor is a formula - ball speed divided by club speed. Attack angle is measured relative to the horizon. Club Path is the direction the club head is moving (right or left) at impact and is measured relative to the target line. This is in-to-out or out-to-in. Face Angle is the direction the club face is pointed (right or left) at impact and is measured relative to the target line. If there are other stats that you like to look at during your session, you can customize the Cave to you. TrackMan allows you to pick and choose which data points you want to see.

Customize your data, practice at GolfCave, and get the results from your session sent to you afterwards. Practice better outside! Watch our CaveTip on Stats Made Simple, and book a tee time at the Cave to improve and take your game to the next level.
